Nur Alya graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2025.

During her undergraduate studies, Alya participated in mooting and legal writing competition. Through these activities, she developed skills in legal research, written submissions, and oral advocacy. She also underwent a legal internship with Messrs. Nik Safia & Co, where she was attached to the Conveyancing Department. Throughout her internship, she assisted in property-related matters, including the preparation of sale and purchase agreements, loan documentation, and other conveyancing instruments. This exposure provided her with a strong foundation in transactional work, documentary precision, and procedural compliance.

Upon commencement of her pupillage, Alya has since transitioned into civil litigation and intellectual property litigation, where she is actively involved in legal research, drafting of pleadings, affidavits, and written submissions, as well as assisting in interlocutory applications, hearings, and trial preparation. Nik Afifah graduated from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam with a LL.B (Hons) in 2025.

She was attached to Sepang Sessions & Magistrate Court as an intern during her university days. During the tenure of the internship, she was exposed to both criminal and civil litigation proceedings and also Court’s procedure and etiquette which inspired her to purse a career as a litigator.

Farah Insyirah graduated from the University of Sultan Zainal Abidin with a LL.B (Hons) in 2022.

She has a prior qualification of Diploma in Law from the same university. During her university years, she was actively involved in extracurricular activities, including serving as a committee member of the Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA). Through her involvement, she assisted in organising academic talks in collaboration with other ALSA local chapters and participated in the management of a national-level mediation competition. She was also active in mooting, which provided her with early exposure to arbitration and litigation.

She commenced her pupillage at Amelda Fuad Abi & Aidil in March 2023 under the supervision of Mr Aidil Khalid, where she gained experience in matters relating to the Federal Constitution and general litigation.

Iman Danial Hakim Md Azam

Iman Danial graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia with a double degree, namely the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Honours) and the Bachelor of Laws (Shari’ah) (Honours), and was called to the Bar in March 2023.

He is deeply passionate about Intellectual Property, and is particularly driven by the idea of protecting and defending creative ideas and innovations. As of April 2023, he leads the Intellectual Property Department of Hafiz Zubir & Co., where he oversees a broad range of IP matters including IP litigation, IP registration, IP commercialisation, anti-counterfeiting actions, and training on Intellectual Property.

He is a registered Trademark Agent with extensive experience assisting clients in securing trademark protection at MyIPO and IP offices worldwide, and has advised and acted in disputes relating to patents, copyright, trademarks, and industrial designs, as well as in the implementation of anti-counterfeiting measures for brand owners.

Ahmad Hafiz Zubir

Hafiz is the founding and principal partner of HZC since 2018, where he has established a respected specialist practice in intellectual property (IP), litigation, and dispute resolution. Hafiz has authored and contributed to several practitioner-focused publications, reinforcing his standing in the IP legal community. He is the author of “A Practical Guide on Trademark Registration in Malaysia”book, which was published in November 2025 by Sweet & Maxwell (Thomson Reuters) Malaysia.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and a Master of Intellectual Property from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He is currently pursuing a PhD, reflecting his strong commitment to thought leadership and the advancement of IP jurisprudence.

His experience covers a broad range of IP disputes, including copyright infringement involving creative works and design concepts; trademark disputes relating to misrepresentation, passing off, and brand ownership; patent infringement involving the unauthorised making, use, or commercialisation of protected inventions; and industrial design infringement concerning the replication of registered designs. He also regularly advises on disputes between former business partners, particularly where intellectual property assets are central to the conflict.

Hafiz works closely with enforcement authorities on IP infringement matters, including assisting the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in raids and anti-counterfeiting enforcement. He has also handled numerous licensing, commercialisation, and royalty engagements with higher learning institutions and research bodies, including UKM, particularly in matters involving technology transfer and IP monetisation.

Beyond legal practice, Hafiz is actively involved in professional development and training. He is a certified trainer with the Human Resources Development Corporation and contributes to capability-building initiatives aimed at promoting awareness, understanding, and responsible use of intellectual property across industries.

Hadi holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in June 2009.

Over the course of more than 17 years in practice, he has developed deep litigation experience spanning contractual and commercial disputes, negligence and tort claims, land and property matters, administrative and public law including judicial review proceedings, employment and industrial relations disputes, as well as construction and infrastructure-related litigation. Jeremy Pang obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Law (Honours) from the University of Malaya (UM) in 2022.

During his undergraduate studies, Jeremy was actively involved in numerous co-curricular activities. Amongst others, he served as a Student Advisor at the UM Legal Aid Clinic, a pro bono initiative offering legal advice to members of the public. In 2019, he had the distinct privilege of representing the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya in a student exchange programme at the Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) in China. Mining & Natural Resources
• Conducted legal due diligence and provided advisory to a mining company in respect of the rare earth elements exploration in the state of Kedah.
• Assisted with the advisory on the gas purchase and transportation supply chain in Malaysia for a biomass company owned by Towngas, one of the largest energy suppliers in Hong Kong.

Zarriff Iman Nafidz  is a First Class LL.B (Hons) graduate from Universiti Utara Malaysia, concluding his studies in August 2025.

Zarriff has previously undergone internships with Messrs. Mohd Hapiz Rajali & Co in March 2023. During his internship stint there, he received firsthand exposure to criminal litigation and Sharia family matters and honed his drafting skills there. It was during his tenure there that he received direct exposure to work with Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (YBGK), which deeply shaped his perspective on the impact of law towards society as a whole.

Later the same year in September 2023, he interned with the Alor Setar High Court where he was exposed to the procedures of both the High Court and the Subordinate Courts in action, spanning various areas of law from civil and criminal procedure to family law and even bankruptcy law. Following this internship tenure, he underwent another internship at Kedah State Legal Advisor’s Office between August and October 2024 where he was exposed to the process of bill drafting, civil litigation and criminal litigation by state counsels and Deputy Public Prosecutors. This unique mix of experience grants him a unique perspective into the legal process from multiple perspectives.

Throughout his studies, Zarriff has demonstrated all-around excellence as an active student and student leader, renowned for his selflessness in helping others academically. He served as the Secretary for the UUM Law Students’ Society for the 2023-24 tenure where he was directly involved in letter and document management for all Society programmes. He also concurrently served as Head Secretariat to the Student Representative Council (MPP) of the School of Law from 2023 to 2025, where he played a pivotal role in helping uphold students’ academic welfare, such as ensuring accessibility of class electives and examination timetable amendments. Demonstrating his versatility, he also served as a former Academic & Training Exco for his residential college of Inapan Siswa Petronas and was involved as the head of his college’s academic bureau for of Minggu Suai Kenal, UUM’s freshman orientation for two consecutive years (2022 and 2023). Raja Azfar graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with LL.B (Hons) in 2024 and LL.B (Shariah) (Hons) in 2025 with CGPA: 3.45.

He was honoured as one of the Top 25 AIKOL Graduates of his cohort for his academic excellence. He previously served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Chambers, where he personally conducted an average of 60 criminal cases daily at the Klang Court. His prosecutorial work encompassed trial hearings, mention proceedings, and fresh charge matters, which involved a wide range of criminal offences including offences under the Penal Code, Dangerous Drugs Act, Immigration Act and Road Transport Act. He was also a paralegal at several law firms and had gained multiple experiences in litigation, corporate and conveyancing work.

During his studies, he actively participated in mooting competitions and was crowned as the Champion of Ahmad Ibrahim Advocacy Competition 2021 (Client Consultation Category), the Champion of KPUM Mentorship 2024 (Report Category) and the Second Runner-Up of Novice Arbitration Mooting Competition 2023. Driven by his passion for volunteerism, he held the position of Vice President of IIUM Titian Wahyu Club and served as an Ambassador for Institut Onn Ja’afar.

• Public Prosecutor v Yusni Bin Mohamed Yusuf – Appealed against the decision of the Magistrate Court, which imposed a Mandatory Attendance Order on the accused for offences under Section 39A of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
