Associates

Most of our Associates are homegrown talents. However, we are still searching for talents who have unique and excellent skills in handling legal matters to join our family. Candidates must have met our standards, among others:

 

 

  • A minimum degree of Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from any local or international qualified universities; and
  • Admitted and enrolled as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

 

Salary begins from MYR3,600 depending on experience and academic grades.

International Interns

Local Interns

We provide opportunities for Malaysian law students to undertake our internship program for a minimum period of four weeks from June to September each year. Students must have at least an overall current CGPA of 3.00 from any local or international university.

Senior Associates

Experience is one of the most valuable things that one can hold. Thus, we always welcome any qualified and experienced lawyers to join our family. The firm has a unique constitution as the positions for Senior Associates are divided into two categories i.e. Senior Associate 1 and Senior Associate 2. These two categories are distinguished by the following number of experiences:

 

 

  • Senior Associate 1: At least 5 ½ years of experience in practice;
  • Senior Associate 2: At least 3 years of experience in practice; 

 

Salary for the Senior Associate 1 position begins from MYR7,500.00 depending on experience, achievements, and academic grades.

 

 

Salary for the Senior Associate 2 position begins from MYR5,500.00 depending on experience, achievements, and academic grades.

Qualifications & Skills for the position:

♦  Applicant must possess a Diploma (minimum) in any related field.
♦  Minimum 2 years’ experience in litigation matters.
♦  Assist lawyers to prepare and handle all related litigation matters.
♦  Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
♦  To handle administrative tasks in relation to the operations of the office and litigation briefs.
♦  To assist in other miscellaneous matters when required.

Head of IT

Scope of Position: Responsible to ensure the IT Operations and Supports fully meets the Firm’s strategic and operational requirements to remain competitive and efficient in the legal service industry locally and internationally. The IT Head is also responsible to provide strong support to drive IT technological capabilities of the Firm in support of the Firm’s Growth Objective and Strategy.                                                                              

Duties and Responsibilities:

♦  Plan, manage and oversee  the overall IT strategy and operations of the firm. This includes developing and implementing IT plans, policies, and procedures; managing IT budgets; and ensuring that the firm’s IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and compliant with all applicable regulations.
♦  Lead and manage the IT team to deliver IT Service . This includes hiring, training, and developing IT staff; setting performance goals; and providing regular feedback.
♦  Identify and address IT risks. This includes conducting risk assessments; implementing security measures; and responding to security incidents.
♦  Work with other partner groups and departments to ensure that the firm’s IT systems meet their needs. This includes understanding the business requirements of each partner group or department; developing IT solutions that meet those requirements; and providing IT support to users.
♦  Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies. This includes attending industry conferences; reading IT journals and blogs; and networking with other IT professionals. 
♦  Plan and execute IT projects as required by the Firm.
♦  Provide technical support to users as and when needed.
♦  Manage IT budgets in line with the Firm’s objective of operation efficiency.
♦  Oversee IT security to ensure the Firm’s operational interest is sufficiently guided.
♦  Ensure compliance with the IT Regulations as required by the Firm’s Operations. 

Accountability: The incumbent is accountable for the overall IT strategy, IT security and IT operations of the Firm.

Key Competencies         

Technical Knowledge:

♦  Strong understanding of IT principles and practices.
♦  Familiar with a variety of IT technologies, including hardware, software, cloud, networking, wireless network, remote networking, firewalls and security.
♦  Familiar with cyber threats and IT security tools.
♦  Familiar with Microsoft 365, active directory and Azure.
♦  Familiar with IT systems such as library systems, door access systems, document management systems, accounting systems, and HR systems.
♦  Experience in legal software is an added advantage
