| Pierre is qualified to practice as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
Pierre has over 25 years of City of London, Wall Street and Emerging Markets private practice experience in the Cross-Border Financing & Derivatives Sector. He has advised global multinational companies, investment banks and institutional investors on a wide range of transactions, in Europe, the USA and Southeast Asia. Pierre was a partner at US firms McDermott Will & Emery and Greenberg Traurig in Paris and London, and an associate at White & Case and Clifford Chance in New York and London. He brings on board varied and wide-ranging experience in the areas of securities issuances, investment grade and leveraged credit facilities, asset- and receivables-based financings, structured financings & debt re-financings and restructurings, most of them cross-border. Pierre holds a Maîtrise in Law from the University of Paris and an LL.M in International Business Law from King’s College London, and also studied law at the University of Edinburgh. John was called to the Bar at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn and is currently a practising solicitor in the United Kingdom. John is also a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the Energy Institute (UK).
John has over 40 years of experience in the Oil & Gas (“O&G”) sector and had served as the General Counsel for British Gas, Upstream. John is highly experienced in working successfully with international O&G teams in Europe, Central Asia (especially Kazakhstan), Africa, and Southeast Asia. His focus has particularly been in the upstream including HSE, and he knows the O&G industry and the key people in the industry very well. John has acted for both large and small international O&G companies and contractors in their day-to-day business with Governments and regulatory agencies. He has participated in major O&G pipeline negotiations in Moscow and Kazakhstan. His experience has also included providing legal services to a major international O&G company in respect of its gas networks in Europe and Africa.
