Azmi & Associates started the year 2023 with a bang. We are proud to announce that based on the statistics provided by The Malaysian Lawyer, the firm’s ranking has moved up three positions, from place No. 12 in 2022 to place No. 9 this year, becoming the top 10 law firm by size in Malaysia. The firm achieves a new milestone and growth thanks to the strategic planning efforts by the firm’s Governing Committee, together with the support of all the partners, lawyers, associates, trainee solicitors, supporting staff, clients, business partners, service providers, and all stakeholders. Every bit of support makes us who we are today. Azmi & Associates was founded 22 years ago by our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali, together with the Managing Partner, Ahmad Lutfi Abdull Mutalip and Co-Deputy Managing Partner of the Firm, Serina Abdul Samad. The Firm has grown organically in these two decades from 7 to 83 lawyers. Based on the statistics, the five largest law firms in Malaysia are Zaid Ibrahim & Co. with 123 lawyers, Skrine with 114 lawyers, Shearn Delamore & Co. with 113 lawyers, Rahmat Lim & Partners with 97 lawyers, and Christopher & Lee Ong with 96 lawyers. Our achievement today shows that we are ranked almost equally among Malaysia’s leading law firms. We are delighted to see the Firm growing steadily and more robust in the Malaysian legal industry.
