On 19th December 2020, the Firm’s partners gathered at the EQ Hotel in KL to attend the Azmilaw 2021 Strategy Workshop. This is an annual event which allows the partners to see the Firm’s performance over the past year and gives partners an opportunity to put forth their thoughts and ideas on how the Firm can improve performance in the year 2021. It’s also allows the partners of the Firm to visualize and strategize a cohesive and innovative business strategy for the firm going into the year 2021. In this session, the Firm was delighted to also welcome our three newest members viz. Natalia Izra who was appointed as the Firm’s 20th partner on the 24th August 2020 followed by the promotions of Mohd Farizal Farhan and Mohd Sallahudin as the 21st and 22nd partners respectively on 16th December 2020,boosting the Firm’s total partners to twenty-two partners.
Our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali kicked off the workshop with an opening speech which was followed by a presentation of reports by the Firm’s COO office on the outcome of 2020’s strategic planning which was chartered back in 2019. The workshop continued with each practice group within the Firm presenting the challenges the faced over 2020, the developments they’ve made throughout the year, and their achievements for the past year.
The workshop continued with a presentation by each partner which outlined their business plans for the year 2021, as well as a brainstorming session to discuss elevating the marketing strategies, leadership skills and client engagement within the Firm. The partners of the Firm concluded the workshop with the shared consensus that during these times it is crucial that the Firm must continue to strive to provide innovative and cohesive legal solutions to its’ clients and to enhance the synergy between practice groups to utilise the combined knowledge of each and every lawyer and partner at the Firm.
Although the Firm faced unprecedented difficulties during the beginning of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Firm has still managed to thrust forward and overcome these adversities through diligent efforts from its partners, lawyers, staff and most importantly our clients who have stood by us while we steadily stabilised our business through these times. The Firm hopes to face the year 2021 by reinforcing our core values of responsiveness, integrity and empathy and to continue to provide our clients with service beyond excellence!
