VSS Employees Claim Against Wound-Up Employer

Our litigation team, led by Partner Abu Daud Abd Rahim, which represented 160 ex-employees involved in the voluntary separation scheme (VSS) exercise against Utusan Melayu (M) Berhad, had issued a letter of demand to the wound-up publisher.

The team is requesting that the liquidator pay our clients’ full compensation when our clients, the beneficiaries of the twenty-nine (29) properties are entitled to the benefit of the trust properties. They demanded their backdated wages and benefits be paid ahead of the creditors to the law firm who represents their former employer.
