On 30 July 2026, our Partner, Hafiz Zubir, participated in a discussion organised by Khazanah Research Institute in his capacity as Head of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Arts Subcommittee of the Malaysian Bar Council. The session focused on a survey of Malaysian artists in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) and examined the evolving role of AI within the creative sector.

The discussion brought together artists and representatives from various sectors of the creative and cultural ecosystem, including legal practitioners, researchers, and policymakers. It provided a platform to exchange views on the use and impact of AI in the arts, the legal and policy issues arising from its adoption, and possible policy recommendations to support the continued development of Malaysia’s creative industry.
