On 5 August 2026, our Managing Partner, Ahmad Lutfi Abdull Mutalip together with two other Partners, Farhah Hayati Mamat and Norazlianaliza Supar, served as speakers at “Kursus Prosedur & Dokumentasi Perundangan dan Pembiayaan Tawarruq MARA”, organised by Akademi Kecemerlangan MARA at Hotel Ideas, Kuala Lumpur.
The programme brought together officers from MARA’s Legal Department, Business Financing Department, and credit officers of MARA State Offices throughout Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak. During the training, Ahmad Lutfi and Farhah delivered comprehensive sessions on the legal documentation and operational procedures governing MARA’s Tawarruq financing programme.

The course forms part of MARA’s ongoing efforts to equip its officers with a comprehensive understanding of the legal and operational aspects of its Tawarruq financing documentation and requirements including analysing related issues on common mistakes in Tawarruq implementation.
This programme is part of our continuing engagement since 2019, whereby Azmi & Associates was appointed to develop MARA’s standard Islamic financing documentation based on the Tawarruq concept, consolidating more than ten financing schemes previously offered based on various Shariah concepts, including Qard Hasan, Murabahah, Bai’ Inah and Bai’ Bithaman Ajil. Following the successful implementation of the Tawarruq financing programme over the past few years, MARA organised this course to familiarise and train its new officers on the relevant documentation and procedures.
We are honoured to continue supporting MARA in strengthening the implementation of its Islamic financing framework and sincerely thank MARA for its trust and confidence in our firm. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in advancing robust legal documentation and Shariah-compliant financing practices.
