Siti Basira Mohd Rofi graduated from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a First Class LL.B (Hons) in 2020 and was awarded as the best student for Civil Procedure in the same year.

She was an active student participating in various voluntary community works and organised few events with I Can Malaysia IIUM. She was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 29^th March 2021 after completing her pupillage in Messrs Syariman Othman & Co. at Alor Setar. During her pupillage, she was exposed to litigious matters and entrusted to assist in preparing written submission including for an appeal case at the Court of Appeal.

She started practicing as an associate with Messrs Ezrilaw Firm in August 2021 and was actively involved in a wide spectrum of corporate banking work which include drafting and perusing security documents. During her tenure, she had attended to reviewing secretarial matters for compliance with the Companies Act 2016 and advising the financial institution on various legal issues. She had worked with a wide range of corporate entities including small medium enterprises and cooperatives. She is also experienced in Islamic finance, retail and land-related matters during her year with Messrs Ezrilaw Firm. She was trusted to attend meetings related to transaction worth more than 10 million.

From her experience, she had developed an interest in corporate and commercial transactions and desires to pursue complex domestic and cross-border transaction. She is now part of our Azmi & Associates’ Penang Office.
