Pugalanthyi Pillai recently completed his BPTC and master’s degree in Company Law and Compliance, and Corporate Governance in Practice with Distinction in 2024. Prior to this, he graduated from the University of Leeds with an LLB (Hons) in 2023, achieving an upper second-class degree.

In July 2024, he served as a Marshal under His Honour Judge Stephen Brown in Sheffield, where he gained valuable insights into family law. He observed a case involving the application of Section 8 of the Children Act 1989 and had the opportunity to engage in discussions with the judge on its practical implications. Additionally, he completed an internship with Lim Hong Nian & Co in August 2022. During his tenure, he contributed to the preparation of property conveyance documentation and honed his skills in drafting Wills and Trusts.

He demonstrated a well-rounded approach to his academic journey, actively participating in extracurricular and volunteer activities. As a member of the Leeds Sports Society, he engaged in touch rugby and table tennis. He also volunteered to organise the football event during the Leeds Winter Games. Beyond academics and activities, he has a keen interest in non-fiction, particularly finance-related literature.

He has a passion for Corporate and Commercial law. His Master is our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali.
