Nur Alya graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2025.
During her undergraduate studies, Alya participated in mooting and legal writing competition. Through these activities, she developed skills in legal research, written submissions, and oral advocacy. She also underwent a legal internship with Messrs. Nik Safia & Co, where she was attached to the Conveyancing Department. Throughout her internship, she assisted in property-related matters, including the preparation of sale and purchase agreements, loan documentation, and other conveyancing instruments. This exposure provided her with a strong foundation in transactional work, documentary precision, and procedural compliance.
Upon commencement of her pupillage, Alya has since transitioned into civil litigation and intellectual property litigation, where she is actively involved in legal research, drafting of pleadings, affidavits, and written submissions, as well as assisting in interlocutory applications, hearings, and trial preparation. She is also exposed to intellectual property–related matters, including trade mark disputes
