Melvyn Quek Ter Mi graduated with First-Class Honours in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Universiti Malaya, where he also received the University Book Prize. While diligently taking notes in lectures and tutorials, he balanced his student life with meaningful experiences beyond the classroom that challenged him to think critically about the law beyond its black-letter form.

He has broadened his perspective by viewing the law from multiple angles through internships at law firms, the Parliament of Malaysia, the Attorney General’s Chambers, the High Court, and the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry. He also served as a Legal Researcher in the Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU), Prime Minister’s Department, working on crucial legal reforms concerning online safety. At the same time, his previous role as a Student Adviser at the Legal Aid Clinic gave him firsthand experience in working directly with clients and strengthen his skills in developing effective legal solutions while making the best use of available resources.

With a proactive mindset and a strong interest in the dynamic field of Corporate Law and the constantly evolving field of Technology, Media & Telecommunications Law, Melvyn looks forward to building his professional journey with the firm.
