Marina Tiwol graduated from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) with a Second Class (Upper Division) LL.B (Hons) in 2021.
She was attached to Mahkamah Tinggi Shah Alam in January 2020 as a legal intern, in which she was exposed to managing the relevant cause papers and documents filed by litigants as well as having the opportunities in closely observing civil and criminal hearings and trials conducted by the Registrars and Judges. During her final year, she completed the 10 sessions of “Anatomy of Advanced Civil Practice Protocol & Advocacy”, a special 30 hours course conducted by YM Dato’ Raja Ahmad Mohzanuddin Shah. This course had developed her interest in civil litigation.
Aside from academic activities, she was actively involved with the International Law Club in UiTM, being the secretary and was also given the opportunity to organise several events that trained her to work with people from different backgrounds and industries. She had also represented her Faculty in several mooting competitions such as LawAsia International Mooting Competition (2020) and Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition (2018).
She was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors in April 2023. She is currently part of our Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group 6 under the supervision of our Partner, Mohd Wafiy Azman.
