Khazatul Naima graduated with an LL.B. (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2014.

She completed her pupillage at Messrs Sarina Anija & Co. where she was exposed primarily to conveyancing, general disputes, and banking litigation. She was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in February 2015.

Throughout her legal career, Khazatul has built extensive experience in litigation and advisory work. She began her practice with Messrs Sarina Anija & Co. before joining Messrs Norharniza Rusli & Co. as a Partner in 2020, where she handled a broad range of matters including adoption, probate and administration, estate planning, tribunal proceedings, land matters, and civil litigation. In September 2023, she joined Fariz Halim & Co. (Penang) and was subsequently promoted to Head of the Litigation Department.

Her practice encompasses estate administration, succession planning, land-related disputes, land reference proceedings, banking litigation, and various court applications. She has advised and represented individuals, corporations, developers, and financial institutions across a wide spectrum of legal matters.

Among her notable experiences are:

• Successfully representing 48 employees in the Court of Appeal in an appeal concerning unpaid wages.

• Successfully representing clients in land reference matters involving the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) Project, the Penang State Cemetery Expansion Project, and the Kulim Hi-Tech Industrial Zone Phase 4A Development Project.

• Acting in a vacant possession matter involving 17 squatters in Padang Besar, Perlis.

• Successfully recording a consent judgment involving a claim of RM7 million.

• Representing a veterinary clinic and successfully resolving the dispute through mediation.

• Successfully representing financial institutions in banking litigation matters before the High Court and Court of Appeal.
