Alfred Tan holds an LL.B (Hons.) from the University of Leeds, obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2021, completed his pupilage with the firm and was subsequently called to the Malaysian Bar in 2022.

Alfred brings extensive experience across several key practice areas which includes:

Energy & Infrastructure: Drafting and negotiating key project documentation (PPAs, EPCC contracts, and concession agreements) for major solar (LSS5+) and Waste-to-Energy projects, as well as advising government-linked entities on landmark infrastructure developments like the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and MRT 3 Circle Line.

Real Estate & Land Transactions: Advising on high-value industrial asset sales, strategic joint investments, and large-scale land disposals—including multi-billion-ringgit transactions in Malaysian Vision Valley, Kulim Hi-Tech Park, and major commercial properties across Peninsular Malaysia.

Corporate & M&A: Handling cross-border joint venture disposals, hydropower equity acquisitions, corporate share sales, and providing retainer counsel to international renewable energy corporations.

Alfred is now part of Initial Public Offering (IPO) / Capital Market Practice and Project Finance Practice Group under the supervision of Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali and Partner, Norhisham Abd Bahrin.
