Azmi & Associates wishes to announce that one of its long-service partners, and a senior litigator, YM Dato’ Raja Ahmad Mohzanuddin Shah, will be retiring from the partnership of the Firm, effective 30 September 2022.

YM Dato’ Raja has been with Azmi & Associates for over 18 years, since January 2004, climbing the ranks with his dedication and commitment to his work and the Firm. YM Dato’ Raja was elevated as a Partner in October 2006 and was subsequently made the Firm’s Co-Deputy Managing Partner in July 2012. YM Dato’ Raja is also a member of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Advisory Council since 1 April 2021.

YM Dato’ Raja has been involved in many notable litigation and dispute resolution assignments, including providing strategic legal inputs to our clients. Amongst YM Dato Raja’s success was overturning award damages for breach of contract which exceeded RM1.2 billion.

YM Dato’ Raja will take up a position as Judicial Commissioner from 30 September 2022.

YM Dato’ Raja is the second litigation partner from Azmi & Associates who has taken up a position as Judicial Commissioner following YA Azlan Sulaiman who assumed the same position on 4 February 2022.
