Strengthening Governance: Azmi & Associates’ Risk Management Committee (RMC)

Azmi & Associates has established its Risk Management Committee (RMC) as part of the Firm’s continued commitment to strong governance, accountability and sustainable growth. The RMC is chaired by Partner Norhisham Abd Bahrin, alongside members Partner Ahmad Syahir Yahya, Natalia Izra Dato’ Nasaruddin and Izzat Zamri, with Deputy COO Afiq Azmir serving as the Executive Secretary. The Committee brings together a diverse mix of leadership and operational perspectives to oversee the Firm’s risk landscape in a structured and proactive manner.

The RMC is entrusted with identifying, assessing and mitigating key risks across the Firm’s operations, including legal, regulatory, financial and reputational exposures. It plays a critical role in strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and professional standards, and promoting a culture of risk awareness at all levels of the organisation. Through regular reviews, policy enhancements and strategic recommendations, the Committee supports informed decision-making and resilience in an evolving legal and business environment.

With the establishment of the RMC, the Firm aims to further embed best practices in risk management while safeguarding the interests of its clients, people and stakeholders. Azmi & Associates remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism as it continues to grow with confidence and purpose.
