Azmi & Associates is pleased to announce the promotion of six (6) Managing Associates and three (3) Associates to the position of Senior Associate 2 (“SA2”), effective 16 July 2025.
This milestone reflects the continued growth of our talent pool and the outstanding contributions of these individuals to the Firm’s success.
PROMOTED MANAGING ASSOCIATES
Muhammad Syazwan Suliman
Muhammad Syazwan graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Malaya and joined the Azmi & Associates in March 2020.
He commenced his pupillage in March 2020 and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in April 2021. Syazwan advises on mergers & acquisitions, corporate & commercial, conveyancing and corporate finance.
Syazwan is part of the Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Practice Group under the supervision of our Partner, Suhara Mohd Sidik. He was promoted to Managing Associate on 1 October 2024.
Raja Muhamad Zulqarnain Raja Abd Rahman
Raja Muhamad Zulqarnain obtained his LL.B (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
He commenced his pupillage in 2020 and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2021. Zulqarnain represented clients in in a broad range of litigation matters, including loan recovery, injunctions, trademark disputes, judicial review applications, and commercial contract breaches.
He joined the Azmi & Associates in August 2023 as an Associate and currently serves in the Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group under the supervision of our Partner, Izzat Asyraf Zamri. He was promoted to Managing Associate on 1 October 2024.
Izzati Asyiqin Adzhar
Izzati Asyiqin graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia with a First Class LL.B (Hons) in 2019 and obtained her LL.M in Business Law in 2020.
She began her pupillage with the Azmi & Associates in October 2020 and was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in February 2022.
Her practice focuses on corporate, commercial and real estate matters. Izzati is part of Senior Partner’s Office under the supervision of our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali. She was promoted to Managing Associate on 1 October 2024.
Vanessa Iskandar Ng
Vanessa graduated with First Class Honours from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2020. She was an avid mooter and represented UiTM in various national and international competitions.
Vanessa commenced her pupillage in March 2021 and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in March 2022. Her current practice areas include employment and industrial relations, litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution.
She is part of Labour & Employment, Litigation & Arbitration under the supervision of our Partner, Melinda Marie D’ Angelus. She was promoted to Managing Associate on 1 October 2024.
Fatin Hazwani Mohd Hakimi
Fatin Hazwani graduated with First Class Honours in LL.B (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2021.
While at UiTM, she was actively involved in the Law Entrepreneurship Club, where she co-organised various events. She was also a member of Gamejaya, a traditional Malay music club, through which she trained school students in playing the Gamelan.
Fatin commenced her pupillage at Azmi & Associates in October 2021 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in August 2022. She is currently part of the Private Equity & Venture Capital Practice Group, working under the supervision of Partner M. Inamul Hassan Shah. She was promoted to Managing Associate in October 2024.
Asiah Siddiqah Abdurrahman
Asiah Siddiqah holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Bristol and the Certificate in Legal Practice. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in March 2023.
Her primary area of practice is mergers & acquisitions, corporate and commercial. She was involved in various works including project development, joint venture arrangement, corporate restructuring, and anti-trust issues.
Asiah is part of the Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Practice Group under the supervision of our Partner, Sharizan Sarif. She was promoted to Managing Associate on 1 October 2024.
PROMOTED ASSOCIATES
Evelyn Ng Can Fei
Evelyn Ng was a KPM Bursary Scholar (2015-2016) and recipient of the prestigious Tan Sri Datuk Seri Haji Abdul Malek Haji Ahmad Award in 2017. She graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leeds in 2019 and obtained her Master of Laws with distinction from BPP University, Leeds, in 2021. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2020 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple Inn.
She completed her chambering at a prominent law firm in Kuala Lumpur, where she gained experience in corporate real estate, M&A, and litigation. After being admitted to the Malaysian Bar in December 2021, she was retained by the same firm before moving to a boutique litigation firm focusing on commercial fraud.
Evelyn Ng joined the Firm in December 2024 is now part of the Shipping, Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group under the supervision of our Partner, Philip Teoh.
Siti Sarah Razali
Siti Sarah graduated from International University of Malaysia (IIUM) with a LL.B (Hons) in 2021 and underwent her pupillage at Messrs. Lam & Phua, where she was extensively involved in conveyancing and property-related legal work.
She was called to the Malaysian Bar in March 2022 and was later retained at the same firm, where she handled various developer housing projects and family law matters.
She joined the Firm in September 2024 and now working under the Global Financial Services and Islamic Banking Practice Group.
Wardah Yumna Yunus
Wardah graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) with LL.B (Hons) in 2021. She has a strong record in international and national mooting competitions. Besides that, she has a profound interest for researching and writing.
Wardah has a strong interest in civil litigation and advocacy, having been mentored under a special litigation programme at UiTM by YM Raja Dato’ Ahmad Mohzanuddin Shah Raja Mohzan.
She is currently part of our Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group under the supervision of our Partner, Mohd Wafiy Azman.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all newly promoted Senior Associates 2 on this well-deserved recognition.
