We are pleased to share that on 11 June 2025 our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali was invited as the speaker for a legal talk titled “Legal Profession After Graduation: Lessons from a Leading Lawyer” organised by the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Moot Club.

The session took place at the Faculty of Syariah and Law and was attended by the Acting Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nisar Mohammad Ahmad, faculty members, and law students.

Drawing from over more than 35 years of experience in the legal field, Dato’ Azmi shared his journey from starting his career as in-house counsel at PETRONAS to venturing into legal practice and eventually founding Azmi & Associates. His insights offered valuable guidance on career development, resilience, and the evolving legal landscape.

Throughout the session, Dato’ Azmi was accompanied and assisted by our trainee lawyer, Nur Eezah Md Kamal. Students also had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with our Senior Partner, who was recently named “Dealmaker of the Year” at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2025.

Dato’ Azmi also had the pleasure of reconnecting with two AzmiLaw alumni, Dr. Noorfajri Ismail (Ph.D) and Nur Zahidah Zulkefli who are now serving as members of the USIM Law Faculty.

It was an inspiring afternoon filled with meaningful exchanges, and we thank USIM Moot Club for the opportunity to connect with the next generation of legal professionals.
