On 19 October 2026, Azmi & Associates visited CMS INDUSLAW at its office in One World Center, Mumbai, where our team had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Aakash Dasgupta.

CMS INDUSLAW is an Indian law firm with over 400 lawyers, advising domestic and international clients across a broad range of practice areas, including corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, regulatory matters and dispute resolution.

The visit was led by our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali, accompanied by Managing Associate Amir Fahmi Annas and Associate Fadlin Khabir Mohamad Khalid.

Earlier this year, Azmi & Associates was involved in a global acquisition exercise for a US buyer involving the concurrent acquisition of assets in India and Malaysia. In that transaction, CMS INDUSLAW acted for the counterparty, while Azmi & Associates acted as Malaysian solicitors for the acquisition of the Malaysian asset. This experience further highlights the importance of effective coordination between legal teams across jurisdictions in facilitating cross-border transactions.

The meeting provided a further opportunity to strengthen professional ties and explore potential areas of collaboration between the two firms, particularly in cross-border matters involving Malaysia and India.
