⁣Who says life as a commercial lawyer is not fun and dull?

An associate of Azmi & Associates’ recently travelled 1,128km to Jakarta and returned the following day for another 1,128km on all paid for expenses, in connection with a sell exercise of an asset by a vendor who hired the Firm. The sale value was RM12.5 million.

The transaction required swift execution, as the buyer requested all processes to be completed on the same day upon receipt of the purchase price. The vendor’s signatory was in Jakarta for a protracted business trip and was unable to get back to Kuala Lumpur on time. He requested the associate to travel all the way to Jakarta to secure his signature. Our said associate, Tengku Assila Tengku Adnan took the challenge and flew to Jakarta to secure the necessary signatures and later flew back to Kuala Lumpur almost immediately.

From the time we received the deal details to the execution of the transaction instruments, the transaction was completed within 5 hours.
