Azmi & Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Nan Muhammad Ridhwan Rosnan as Partner, General & Shariah Litigation, effective 1 August 2026.
Ridhwan brings over a decade of experience in commercial and Shariah litigation, shipping and maritime law, aviation, insolvency and restructuring, regulatory disputes, occupational safety matters, and quasi-criminal proceedings. He has represented multinational corporations, government-linked companies, financial institutions, statutory bodies, airlines, and other corporate clients in complex and high-profile disputes.
Prior to joining Azmi & Associates, Ridhwan was a Partner in the Litigation Practice at one of Malaysia’s premier law firms. Since his admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2015, he has built a strong reputation within the legal profession through his extensive dispute resolution experience and expertise.
His professional standing has been recognised by leading international legal directories, including The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, as well as through recognition at the Asian Legal Business Malaysia Law Awards. He is also actively involved in advancing the legal profession through speaking engagements, legal education initiatives, thought leadership contributions, moot court judging, and mentoring young lawyers.
Ridhwan holds an LL.M (Distinction) from Universiti Teknologi MARA, specialising in Law of the Sea and Admiralty Law, an LL.B (Hons) from Multimedia University, and a Diploma in Shariah Legal Practice (DSLP) from the International Islamic University Malaysia.
His appointment marks an important milestone for the Firm with the establishment of a dedicated Shariah Litigation Practice, further strengthening our full-service capabilities and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our clients.
