Azmi & Associates is delighted to announce that Zul Adenan Ainul Azyan has been appointed as our new Chief Operating Officer, commencing on September 18, 2023. He will be working closely with our Senior Partner, Managing Partner and the Firm’s Governing Committee.
This appointment signifies yet milestone in our ongoing journey of growth and excellence, as we move towards our Firm reaching the size of more than 100 professionally qualified lawyers and as we continue to make further progress in many fronts of our endeavours in Malaysia’s commercial legal practice landscape.

| Zul Adenan’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Hons) from Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan.
He also attended INSEAD Executive Leadership Program (Advanced Management Program for Senior Management) in Fontainebleau, France. His extensive 28-year career traverses the dynamic landscape of Asia Pacific, encompassing a wide array of roles and responsibilities. His expertise spans corporate strategy, consultancy, start-up management, business development, Lean Six Sigma methodology, and much more. Zul Adenan’s journey began at Motorola, where he garnered recognition for his outstanding achievements. Subsequently, he held key positions at Schlumberger, contributing significantly to innovation. His tenure with the UEM Group involved strategic planning and management of Business Development for an expansive portfolio of 88 companies across diverse industries. In banking, Zul Adenan, as Managing Director at CIMB, excelled in roles spanning Consumer Business, Operations, Risk Management, and Compliance across Southeast Asia. Notably, he made the Singapore Card Centre profitable and CIMB Niaga the leading issuer of MasterCard in Indonesia. His achievements earned him awards and diverse leadership roles within the Group. |
