Azmi & Associates secured a crucial legal triumph with the Court of Appeal upholding a monumental RM46 million summary judgment between our client, Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (Pernas) and Serba Dinamik subsidiaries.

On 11.3.2024, our Partner Wafiy Azman and our Associate Haikal Suhaimi represented Pernas and appeared before YA Datuk Ravinthran a/l N. Paramaguru, YA Dato’ Sri Mariana Haji Yahya and YA Dato’ Collin Lawrence Sequerah and they have successfully resisted the appeals filed by Dato’ Dr. Ir. Abdul Karim Abdullah and others.

The Court of Appeal led by Judge YA Datuk P Ravinthran dismissed the appeal made by Datuk Dr. Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah and his associates, Rosland and Rosli, to resist the High Court’s summary judgment after the bench found that there were no credentials on the pursuant case.

The court case was a contractual dispute between Pernas and the defendants regarding the purchase of Serba Dinamik shares and the failure of the defendants to fulfill their obligations under the agreements, leading to legal action and the subsequent judgment in favor of Pernas.

In summary, Azmi & Associates’ litigation team has successfully secured a Judgment worth approximately RM46 million for our client, Pernas.
