On 30 December 2025, the second last day of the year, when many professionals were on leave, one of our M&A teams was deep in the final round of negotiations in connection with the sale of eight (8) ATR aircraft from Malaysia Aviation Group to Air Borneo Group, as part of the MASwings divestment by Malaysia Aviation Group.

On that day, the parties successfully achieved completion of the aircraft sale, marking the culmination of a transaction that had been in progress since mid-2024.

We thank Malaysia Aviation Group for the trust placed in us to advise and navigate this complex exercise, and our counter-party lawyers, Rahmat Lim & Partners, for their professionalism and collaboration in bringing the deal to a close.
