We are pleased to share that on 6 February 2026, a book authored by our partner, Philip Teoh, titled ‘The Law and Practice of International Trade and Shipping’ and published by Thomson Reuters Malaysia, was launched at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), Kuala Lumpur.

Philip brings over 35 years of experience in practice and has been with the Firm since 2015 as Partner and Head of our Shipping and Maritime Practice Group.

The book was officially launched by Federal Court Judge and Malaysia’s first Admiralty Judge, Tan Sri Datuk Nallini Pathmanathan.

Our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali, together with Thomson Reuters Malaysia Publishing Editor, Rachel Jaques, joined her on stage for the launch and gave their welcoming speeches too.

The programme also featured a panel discussion moderated by AIAC Senior Counsel, Sneha Iyer, with distinguished panellists including Court of Appeal Judge, Dato’ Ong Chee Kwan, and Philip Teoh, among others. We were honoured by the presence of members of the judiciary, as well as partners, lawyers and invited guests.

This publication marks a meaningful contribution to the development of legal literature in the field of international trade and shipping. We extend our warmest congratulations to Philip on this achievement and hope the book will serve as a valuable reference for practitioners and the wider maritime community.
