Azmi & Associates is pleased to have successfully advised Waqaf An-Nur Corporation Berhad on the acquisition of dialysis centres, marking an important milestone in Waqaf An-Nur’s efforts in strengthening the delivery of essential healthcare services to the community.
This transaction involved a comprehensive and multi-layered scope of work. Led by our Partner, M Inamul Hassan Shah, and supported by Senior Associates Zhilal Adnan and Fatin Hazwani Mohd Hakimi, together with Associates Nurfarahin Zainal Abidin and Miza Farisya Mohd Fadzli, the team advised on a wide range of matters, including the structuring of the business and asset acquisition, navigating regulatory and licensing requirements, formalising arrangements relating to the use of proprietary systems and operating premises, as well as structuring the management services arrangements in respect of the acquired dialysis centres.
We were also privileged to play a supporting role in addressing Shariah-related considerations. Working alongside the client’s Shariah advisors, our Partners Ahmad Lutfi Abdull Mutalip, Farhah Hayati Mamat and Norazlianaliza Supar provided key legal input in aligning the transaction framework with applicable Shariah principles.
