We are pleased to share that Azmi & Associates has been appointed as the legal counsel in connection with the formation of a joint venture between Sime Darby Property Berhad and SD Guthrie Berhad for the development of the Elmina Business Park. Our role included assisting in the drafting and finalisation of the shareholders agreement for the special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up to spearhead this strategic collaboration.

This joint venture marks a significant step forward in the industrial development space, with the 760-acre Elmina Business Park poised to become a key industrial hub in the region. We are proud to have contributed to the legal framework that supports this major initiative, which is expected to catalyse economic growth and create long-term value for both stakeholders.

This matter was attended by our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali, alongside Partner M Inamul Hassan Shah, with support from Senior Associate Zhilal Adnan, Managing Associate Izzati Asyiqin Adzhar and Associate Abdul Karim Ariez.
