Azmi & Associates is pleased to have advised Bank Pertanian Malaysia Berhad (Agrobank) in connection with the Islamic Multi-Facilities of RM 100 Million, structured under the Shariah Principle of Tawarruq (“Facility”), granted to Boustead Plantations Berhad (“Customer”). The Facility was provided to finance the development cost of replanting in relation to the business of the oil palm plantation and to support its maintenance cost.
The transaction was handled by our Global Financial Services and Banking Practice Group, led by partner Ahmad Syahir Yahya together with Senior Associate Siti Sarah Razali and Trainer Solicitor, Nur Faryana Hasleen.
This transaction further reflects the Firm’s continued involvement in significant financial services and Islamic finance transactions for banking and financial institutions.
