We are delighted to share that our Firm has successfully advised on the completion of the sale of MASwings to Air Borneo, which took place on 31 December 2025. What a remarkable transaction to conclude 2025 for the Firm.

This landmark transaction involved the sale of 8 aircraft and sale of an airline company (MASwings), the sale and transfer of spares and rotables, the provision of transitional support services, and the migration of more than 300 employees to the Air Borneo Group, which represents an exciting new chapter for regional aviation and reflects the strong collaboration and dedication of all parties involved, including Malaysia Aviation Group, the Ministry of Transport, Air Borneo, and the Sarawak Government.

Our team (comprising Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali, M Inamul Hassan Shah, Abdul Karim Ariez, Jane Lau Bi Yen, and Zhilal Adnan, with the support of Nurfarahin Zainal Abidin, Sharmaine Yap Ern Xie, and Melvyn Quek Ter Mi) is proud to have delivered end-to-end legal support, guiding the transaction seamlessly from beginning through to completion, culminating a one and a half year task. The completion took place on 31 December 2025, with lawyers from both sides and senior management attended the detailed handover process.
