On 24 April 2026, Azmi & Associates had the pleasure to welcome Irawati Hermawan, CEO of Hermawan Juniarto & Partners. Her visit holds special significance, given that our Senior Partner Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali and our Managing Partner, Ahmad Lutfi Abdull Mutalip for many years before, had few engagements with her for a number of infrastructure and transactional works in Indonesia where our firm collaborated with her firm. Reconnecting with her reflects the enduring professional relationships between the two firms.

The visit was warmly received by our Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi, together with our Managing Associates Abdul Karim Ariez, Jane Lau, and Amir Fahmi Annas.

Irawati’s journey continues to be both inspiring and remarkable. Having established Messrs. Hermawan Juniarto & Partners in Jakarta in 2005, she went on to lead a major milestone in 2018 when the firm became associated with Deloitte Southeast Asia Indonesia. She played a pivotal role in building Deloitte Legal Indonesia from the ground up, growing the team to 50 lawyers. In 2024, she resumed Hermawan Juniarto & Partners as a fully independent firm, now comprising over 20 lawyers, reinforcing her commitment to excellence and leadership in the legal profession.
