On 22 May 2026, Azmi & Associates had the pleasure of welcoming 30 ALSA Malaysia law students, primarily first-year students from various local universities including UKM, UiTM, UIA, and BAC, to our office. The visit began with warm welcoming remarks by GC Member/Partner Melinda D’Angelus, setting the tone for an engaging and insightful afternoon focused on exposure to legal practice and career development in the legal profession. The session was emceed by Adnein Zaferi, who guided the programme smoothly throughout the visit.

The session continued with substantive sharing by Partner M Inamul Hassan Shah on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), followed by Senior Associate Evelyn Ng who provided practical insights into litigation and shipping practice.

Partner Philip Teoh also dropped by briefly to share his perspectives and experiences from practice, adding further dimension to the students’ understanding of the diverse legal work within the firm. The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively engaged with the speakers on legal practice, career pathways, and the realities of working in a law firm environment.

We appreciate ALSA Malaysia for organising the visit and thank the students for their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions. We hope the session provided meaningful exposure to the legal profession and inspired the students as they embark on their legal journey. We look forward to more opportunities to engage with and support the next generation of legal professionals.
