Umar Hazzich graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), with Second Class (Upper Division) in August 2026.

Prior to his pupillage, he completed an internship with Azmi & Associates’ Penang office, gaining hands-on exposure to corporate law and conveyancing matters while observing key client meetings. This practical experience solidified his interest in corporate practice and inspired him to undertake his pupillage with the Firm.

During his time at IIUM, Umar was consistently named to the Dean’s List and earned recognition as the Best Speaker in his mooting course. Demonstrating a strong commitment to community engagement, he co-organized a mental health awareness initiative for a Tahfiz school, which received a Gold Award at a university-level symposium.

Umar is currently doing his pupillage with the Firm, attached to the Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Practice Group with our Partner, Norhisham Abd Bahrin as his Master.
