The case involved an originating summons concerning two parcels of land in Melaka, with the Plaintiffs seeking damages of approximately RM2,451,725.00. The Defendants subsequently commenced a third-party action against Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) for indemnity.⁣⁣

The High Court dismissed the Plaintiffs’ originating summons in its entirety, following our submission on preliminary point relating to application of land acquisition law under the Land Acquisition Act 1960. That submission resulted in a full victory for our client. The win was led by our Partner, Izzat Zamri, Senior Associate, Ammera Hadi, and Associate, Sharifah Lyana Aljofre.⁣⁣
