Nur Najwa Hureen graduated with a LL.B (Hons) Second Class Upper from the University of Malaya in 2024 and previously ranked in the top 10% of her Foundation in Law class at UiTM.
Her legal experience includes substantial work in corporate law, where she contributed to the launch of the Secondary Market at pitchIN, ensuring compliance with the Capital Markets and Services Act (CMSA) 2007. During her internship at Messrs. Jeffrey & Co, she secured 70% debt waivers in bankruptcy settlements and facilitated export tax exemptions for key markets in Singapore and Japan.
Beyond her legal training, Najwa Hureen has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities. As Secretary General of the Universiti Malaya Students Union (UMSU) and Project Director of the Kampus Demokrasi Campaign, she raised RM35,000 in sponsorships, establishing partnerships with notable organizations. She was also awarded 2nd Runner-Up at the Anugerah Perdana Belia Negara 2024 (Johor State Level) for her contributions to youth leadership.
Recognized for her legal advocacy, she was a Semifinalist and Best Written Submission awardee at the Shearn Delamore & Co X KPUM E-Moot Court Competition. Her work has been featured in prominent national publications such as New Straits Times, Kosmo, and Malay Mail, and she has appeared on Astro Awani to discuss youth issues during Malaysia’s 15th General Election.
Najwa Hureen’s passion lies in corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and finance law, areas where she aspires to make a lasting impact. Her Master is our Partner, Norazlianaliza Supar.
