Lee Jie Zing

Lee Jie Zing graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Second Class (Upper Division) LL.B (Hons) in 2021.

She subsequently completed the Bar Training Course (BTC) and Master of Laws (LLM) with Distinction at BPP University and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2022 by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

During her time in Liverpool, she worked as a part-time legal assistant in YV Legal a start-up immigration law firm, where she experienced the process of filling out asylum cases and drafting further submissions. In September 2020, she has also undergone an internship with Dinesh Muthal & Co. During the tenure of the internship, she mainly explored criminal litigation work, where she was trained to write succinctly whilst carrying out research tasks on high-profile cases.

She is a student member who actively participated in the qualifying sessions organized by the Lincoln’s Inn, including legal research training, advocacy workshops and case analysis & ethics sessions. Further, she also enjoys participating in voluntary work for example, she was a volunteer with the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS), a Project Leader of the University of Liverpool’s Green Finger Project and a student volunteer for Wirral Mencap, a local charity who supports people with learning disabilities. Additionally, she completed her mediation training in October 2022 and is now an ADR ODR-accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator. She has a great passion for Maritime and Admiralty Law.

She was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors on 26 January 2024.

She is currently attached to the Shipping, Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group under the supervision of our Partner, Philip Teoh.
