Heu Wen Yen

Heu Wen Yen graduated from University of Queensland with a LLB (Hons) Degree in 2018.

Prior to joining Azmi & Associates as a fellow Pupil, she worked as a Legal Executive in a commodities trading company and was also involved in managing corporate liability regime of the company.

She has undergone an internship with Shook Lin & Bok in the course of her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) program. During the tenure of the internship, she has explored mainly litigation and corporate work, where she was trained to carry out legal research tasks and drafted letters. She subsequently joined Zul Rafique & Co. as a paralegal in the Energy & Utilities Department where she gained further exposure in corporate practice particularly securitization and corporate governance.

During her tertiary studies, she volunteered in the Indooroopilly Uniting Church Clinic for Refugee and Asylum Seekers where she assisted in providing explanation on the procedure for immigration applications along with offering support with a wide range of issues including housing, destitution and education. In her final year, she was a tenancy law volunteer student in Tenants Queensland (QSTARS) offering personalised tenancy advice and advising on filing of applications to the tribunal. She is eager to explore various practice areas in the corporate field alongside taxation.

She is currently part of the Capital & Debt Markets Practice Group under the supervision of our Co-Deputy Managing Partner, Serina Abdul Samad and Partner, Moo Eng Thing.
