Gabrielle Lim graduated from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 2020 with Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (Second Class Upper). She completed the Bar Training Course and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2021. She also completed her LL.M in Legal Practice (Bar) from BPP University, Bristol, UK in 2022.
While reading law, she had represented Taylor’s University Law School in the Novice Arbitration Moot Competition held by the Asian International Arbitration Centre and the Taylor’s Inaugural Moot Competition. She had also completed her internship with Messrs Adnan, Sundra and Low in 2020 where she gained exposure to banking law.
She commenced her pupillage with Messrs Azmi & Associates in April 2022. She started off in general litigation which she had assisted in various matters including professional negligence, defamation, and medical malpractice. She also assisted in a construction arbitration dispute. She then completed her remaining 6 months of pupillage with the Shipping Practice which her previous assignments include assisting in ship arrest, cargo claims, maritime arbitration claim and other non-contentious mandates such as the preparation of agreements and resolutions for corporate restructuring.
Gabrielle had also co-written on various articles that was published in the firm’s website, newsletter, and international platforms. She co-written on the following articles:

She was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors on 10 March 2023. She is currently attached to the Shipping, Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group under the supervision of our Partner, Philip Teoh.
