Ahmad Fadhli Umar graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with LL.B (Hons) in 2017. Umar was one of the recipients of the Rector’s Award during his convocation.
Umar undertook his pupilage at Messrs. Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill in December 2017. Upon completing his pupilage, Umar continued his 2nd Degree in Shariah Law also from International Islamic University Malaysia and graduated with a LL.B (Shariah) (Hons) in 2019.
During his pupilage, Umar assisted his Master in several high profile cases including in representing Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) against the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in ROS’s attempt to deregister PPBM just before the historic 14th General Election.
Umar was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 22nd March 2019 and subsequently joined Messrs. Raja Darryl & Loh. Since that, Umar has been involved in a wide range of commercial dispute resolution emphasising on debt recovery and contractual dispute representing various public listed companies and financial institutions including Islamic Banks.
Apart from the above, Umar is also a qualified Syarie Lawyer of the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan since August 2020.
