Suhara Mohamad Sidik is our 19th Partner of the Firm and her practice covers mergers & acquisition and corporate finance. She has been involved in various local and international mergers and acquisitions, which include legal due diligence and corporate restructuring, establishment of Real Estate Investment Trust, Sukuk issuance, capital reduction exercise, Employees Shares Option Scheme, Private Placement and financing related matters. Suhara also advised high net-worth clients on Muslim wills, trust deeds and conveyancing matters.

Suhara was called to the Malaysian Bar in May 2008 and subsequently became an associate of the Firm in the then General Corporate Practice Group. She had also practised law with the firms of Shook Lin & Bok and Abdul Rahman Samad & Partners.

She holds Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and Bachelor of Law (Shariah) degree from International Islamic University Malaysia, Masters in Business Administration (Corporate Governance) degree from Graduate School of Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia and the ICSA certification from Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Law Ngee Song @ Jonathan Law is our 20th Partner of the Firm and his practice includes mergers & acquisitions, corporate and capital market. He has been in practice for over twenty seven (27) years. He joined us from another law firm and has also gained reputation as directors of several major companies and corporations, including 3 public listed companies.

He attended early schooling in Sibu but completed his secondary studies in Australia. He enrolled in the Australian National University and earned himself a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting) degree in 1987 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1989, both from same university.

He was admitted to the High Court of Malaya in 1991 and charted his first legal career as legal assistant at Messrs Allen & Gledhill, Kuala Lumpur in the same year. Four years later in 1995, he was elevated as a Partner. In 1996, he left Messrs Allen & Gledhill to become a Partner at Messrs Nik Saghir & Ismail in which he remains in practice until joining Azmi & Associates.

He specialises in corporate finance work and commercial acquisitions & mergers and has been involved in various joint ventures transactions in local and international markets which include legal due diligence and corporate restructuring. He has also undertaken work in assets privatizations and government concessions, in particular, water and infrastructure projects. His credentials and portfolios of directorship of major corporation/companies showcase his familiarity with business operations of corporations, a valuable asset indeed in delivering our work to clients.
