Lee Kin Hing has had more than 10 years of experience in legal practice in Malaysia and the UK. Kin Hing previously spent 8 years in London practising in refugee, nationality and asylum laws under the then UK Legal Services Commission’s (now UK Legal Aid Agency) Community Legal Services scheme and representing appellants in immigration tribunals across England & Wales. He was accredited as a senior caseworker and supervisor under the England & Wales Law Society’s immigration & asylum accreditation scheme. Upon his return to Malaysia he spent 4 years at Azmi & Associates before he joined another one of the largest firms in Malaysia being part of its infrastructure and project development department.

Subsequently he joined a boutique litigation firm and undertook corporate litigation works specialising in breach of director fiduciary duties, recovery of secret profits, compliance with the Companies Act, liquidation proceedings and mareva injunction application. During his limited period of litigation practice, he represented corporate clients both at the High Court and the Court of Appeal levels. OMAR SAIFUDDIN ABDUL AZIZ

Omar Saifuddin has more than 21 years working experience. He started work in 1993 as an Administrative & Diplomatic Officer and was attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Entrepreneur Development  before he joined Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) as a Legal Officer in 1997. He left TM in 2012 and his last position was as Senior Corporate Counsel (AGM), Global Products and Services. In TM, he was involved in the drafting, review and negotiations of various agreements to be entered by TM and/or its Group of Companies including agreements with other telecommunications operators/service providers and customers. He had experience in managing legal matters of TM’s international subsidiaries and was fortunate to be involved in major cross-border transactions in various countries in Asia and Africa. Upon completion of his chambering with Ghazali Ariff & Partners in 2013, he worked with Nasira Aziz & Co and Haq & Salleh where he handled construction, telecommunications, mergers & acquisitions, corporate, commercial, conveyancing, property and banking matters. Norazlianaliza has joined Azmi & Associates since 2011 where she was involved in various transactions in relation to corporate banking and financial services matters including advising various banks/financial institutions in preparing relevant legal documentation for Islamic and/or conventional financing facilities grated in favour of various corporation and/or co-operative sociesties.   • Advising Maybank Islamic Berhad in relation to the fresh Islamic Short Term Revolving Credit-i Facility of up to RM1.0 billion in favour of the federal land development authority;
  • Advising Affin Islamic on Islamic financing facility under the shariah principles of Ijarah of RM110.0  million  to a company involved in property development
  • Advising Malaysia Building Society Berhad in respect of the Islamic Structured Term Financing Facility of RM218.4 million for the construction of a brand new university campus in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan under a private finance initiative (PFI) scheme;
  • Advising United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd in relation to the Wholesale Term Financing of RM100 Million in favour of a construction and engineering company;
  • Advising United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd in developing Islamic financing products and drafting common documentation based on Shariah principles;
  • Advising  Malaysia Building Society Berhad in developing common documentation for all its Islamic Product based on the Shariah concept of Commodity Murabahah;
  • Advising Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad in drafting and preparing a standard template for Commodity Murabahah Documents for its Commodity Murabahah Facilities; and

MOHD SALLAHUDIN ABDULLAH

Mohd Sallahudin Abdullah was the recipient of the Dean’s List Certificate awarded by Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws for several semesters during his tenure of study. Upon graduating, he has been selected as the Best Students’ Overall and the Best Students’ Co-Curriculum for Kulliyyah of Laws in IIUM graduation ceremony 2012. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in January 2013.

MOHD FARIZAL FARHAN ABD GHAFAR

Farizal joined Messrs Azmi & Associates in 2007. In 2010, Farizal joined Avocet Mining (M) OHQ Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Avocet Mining PLC involved in gold mining activities in South East Asia and West Africa. In 2011, Farizal had undertook his pupilage at Messrs Shook Lin & Bok before rejoining Messrs Azmi & Associates in that same year as an Associate after being called to the Malaysian Bar. During his employment with Azmi & Associates, Farizal has been seconded to companies such as Hess Oil & Gas Sdn Bhd and Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). In 2013, Farizal was seconded to PETRONAS to provide legal advice in relation to the procurement and supply of goods and services for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of PETRONAS’ first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility i.e. the PFLNG1. Subsequently, Farizal was further seconded for four (4) years ending in May 2017 to the Legal Department of PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCGB) as Legal Counsel to provide legal advice in the development of the largest single-train ammonia and urea plant in Southeast Asia, and the third largest urea plant in the Asia-Pacific at the time.
